Our 75th Anniversary Grand Banquet Celebration held on September 30, 2016 was highlighted by a truly remarkable dinner prepared by legendary guest chefs John Bennett and Kurt Fleischfresser, along with chef John Hazelton and sous chef Carmen Lara. This magnificent banquet was provided free of charge through the great generosity of Clayton I. Bennett and Dorchester Capital.

Upon arrival members and their guest were greeted by the sounds of a four-piece string quartet, and setting the stage for the four-course dinner to follow, were offered appetizers of lump crab on toast brioche, smoked salmon and caviar on potato cakes and Belgium endive with hummus, paired with JCB #69 Brut Rose. Dinner entertainment included a historical video featuring decade-by-decade club leaders, historical photographs and popular dances from each decade, prepared by past president Sidney Dunagan.

Concluding the evening was the first showing of the signature 75th Anniversary Beacon Club video re- counting our rich history that began atop the First National Center in 1941, a raid by County constables during Prohibition, our relocation to the prestigious Oklahoma Tower, visits by entertainer Bob Hope, the Shah of Iran and President Vicente Fox of Mexico, and featured interviews with members of all ages sharing decades of Beacon Club stories.

It was indeed a fantastic evening of extraordinary cuisine, memorable entertainment and warm fellow- ship; it was just the way to celebrate of our historic club for its 75th anniversary!
